Unit 2 - Film/Game soundtrack

Logic game trailer soundtrack;

today our new topic was briefed, and todays task was to create a soundtrack for a short film or game trailer. My chosen trailer was for the upcoming game Red Dead Redemption 2 *trailer*:

The plot for this game, you control a western outlaw called John Marston across wetsren era America, the game isn't out till June 2018, but fans have theories that the prequel will show the events before the first title. The main objective of the first game was to slowly take out a gang of outlaws who rob and kill across the country to survive.

The soundtrack i'm working on consists of a banjo sliding, this creates a droning but authentic western feel, as the game is set in a cowboy era America. The trailer also shows birds, forests, horses, a train, fire etc. and these are all enhanced with Logic sound effect loops.

The structure i have used -
the top track shows the droning banjo which plays throughout the trailer. The second track is an explosion effect, this partnered with track three emphasise a transition where horses thunder along the dirt, after a peaceful scene. Track four is a horse snorting, as a video of a horse carrying food is being shown in the trailer at that point. Track five has the first part of a bird calling( the track underneath is the second) and after that is a train bell, showing a train moving slowly. the final track is a gentle fire burning, as the scene shows the protagonist standing in front of a fire. The scene after is the horses running followed by the game producers logo, where the trailer finishes.
