Representation - me as a person and as a musician

Who am i;
On stage i would say i make the most noise which is a contrast to the off stage me. The drums make up for the lack of talking, in a way of 'actions speak louder than words' quite literally. The person i'd like to be seen as on stage in terms of drummers for their qualities would be;




Matt Helders; on stage, Helders doesn't dress up in fancy outfits, when he does gigs, a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt are his outfit of choice, for comforts sake. In terms of how i dress and want to feel on stage thats a very good representation.

In terms of attitude and how i play on stage, Ben Thatcher of royal blood is who i aspire to be like, an animated performer. An example is of his style can be seen is this drum solo. And this style is how i hope to come across on stage in the hope that it presents how much i love to drum.

Off stage;
I juxtapose the me on stage when i'm not behind a kit.  Off stage i have a different attitude and tend to keep my mouth shut, and stay quiet. An example of this kind of attitude can be seen here in this interview with Duran Duran, While the frontmen do the talking he speaks little to none, however when he plays shows, he doesn't hold back, which is similar to myself.
