Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain.
What points do they make?
while this interview mainly showcases his setup, he does discuss tuning of his drums, and how his kick has little to no tension on it to create maximum low end.
How will i use this information in my FMP?
I will take his tuning words into account and will consider tuning drums for low end to create certain sounds.

What technique is this explaining?
This video demonstrates some single kick beats that can be used in metal tracks. How one kick can sound not faster but just as fast as a double.
What are the key pieces of information from this video?
As well as the Kick techniques, an important part that should be noted is how to use to rest of the kit with this technique. Some of those points include using big cymbals. The bigger the cymbal, the louder it is, and by using larger cymbals, it doesn't replace, but somewhat compensates for the lack of other kick. While large
cymbals help, having a ride with a big bell helps becauseagain, the larger, the louder and a heavy hitting bell can be used
in a variety of ways round the kit and musically, such as going into
halftime beats, allowing for breaks/solos etc.
