Comparison of artists;
Royal Blood & David Bowie
While there are some similarities between the two Artists, there are even more differences. The obvious being that bowie is a solo artist, royal blood are a duo, however in terms of performance, there are smaller details to discuss.
Details such as the fact Bowie is a solo artist, and live performances require a band, whereas RB are a band themselves, so in terms of a performance, there would be more to a Bowie performance in terms of instruments and musicians, whereas there are only two members of royal blood, because of their genre would play louder music.
In terms of image, the two are very different. Bowie is
heavily made up, and throughout the 80's, used the most makeup on his face, which created his iconic lightning bolt look, Royal Blood however aren't made up, and wear clothes that you'd wear casually, which in contrast with some of the clothes worn by Bowie look much different. However the time difference between the two is large, Bowie being at his prime in the 80s, RB in 2017/18, wether they've hit their prime yet is up to whatever happens in the future.
Similarities between the two are scarce, however some of those include that no loops are used in their live performances, all of their music is live. Examples include Bowie's 'Modern Love', we see a variety of musicians including drums, guitars, brass etc. to create all the sounds needed for the song. An example of Royal Bloods live music would be this version of 'Little Monster'. While there are only two instruments, its still all being played live, which again is something the two artists have in common.
